7th graders from Maryland and 8th graders from Missouri worked on a collaborative project creating ToonDoos around a Bible character. My students were taken off the wiki at 12midnight, their deadline. The collaborations began with a video conference between the two schools so the middle schoolers could make connections. There were long distance friendships started as a result of this project!
Here is my ToonDoo I have created! I found it to be hard at first to come up with something to make a cartoon about, but once I decided I wanted to do something in Spanish it helped. I think these could be really good for teaching quick little phrases and common words in Spanish to students. It'd be fun to post one in front of the class for a fun way to start the day. Here is the link to my cartoon, it was really fun to create a cartoon like this (especially because I can't draw at all) would be great to help out ESL students!

Here is my link to my cartoon. This was a lot of fun to do. I even hooked my son in to creating one himself. I believe there would be a lot of uses for this tool within the classroom. Teachers could use this as a reward activity, such as students who finish their work and need extra activities to keep them busy.

Here is the link to my toondoo. I thought this was fun, a little difficult figure out what I was going to do. I think there are a lot of ways a teacher could use this tool in the classroom. Maybe as a reward for those students who get their work done and need extra activities to keep busy.
Hello! I had so much fun with Toon Doo! I loved choosing different backgrounds and characters. This would be such a fun tool to use in the classroom for all different subjects. Here is my URL:
Hi everyone! I think that Toondoo would be so much fun for students! I had a good time making a cartoon so you know that students would love this! My cartoon isn't educational but I think it's funny because I really did see this happen one time when I was at my husbands grandparents house for Christmas. I still laugh about it to this day. Hope you enjoy.
This was a fun program! I think the students would enjoy creating a strip to help with the learning of a topic in the classroom!
I had a little bit of a hard time thinking of a topic, but the program worked very smooth.
In my classroom, I think that I could use it in all subjects. This could be used to help the students with memorization and comprehension of vocabulary words, spelling words, states and capitals, sight words and many other projects. I can't wait to have my own classroom where I can incorporate this into my lessons. http://www.toondoo.com/View.toon?param=294005
Here is the ToonDoo I have created! I found it very interesting and fun to create, once I figured out what I was going to make my cartoon about. There are lots of options with facial expressions, background scene, and importing your own pictures. Tutors can use this website to help other students understand a concept, but in a totally different way. Printing these cartoon strips and displaying them on the wall for reference would be a good idea also. Here is my website: http://www.toondoo.com/View.toon?param=295478
