This morning I encountered two lists of "Best Web 2.0 Applications for Education."

1. Larry Ferlazzo's at The Best Web 2.0 Applications For Education — 2007 http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/2007/12/21/the-best-web-20-applic...

2. Silvia Tolisano's at Best Web 2.0 Applications for Elementary School http://langwitches.org/blog/2007/12/22/best-web-20-applications-for...

Silvia's is elementary-school focused, and Larry's is general--although at the bottom of Larry's post are links to other more specialized lists he's also created.

Shall we give it a go here? What have been your favorite Web 2.0 apps in education this year? Want to make any predictions for 2008?

The link to this discussion from the main Classroom 2.0 site is below. It is worth reading and adding your own list! Or commenting here.

Ustream is going to be on those lists this year! Any PD or conference is boring without streaming. Both the auditory and the visual must be engaged. For example, Steve Jobs recent keynote at the 2008 World Wide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Every streaming website, in the words of Leo LaPorte, broke during the live keynote. Without the video of that showman, Steve Jobs, many were so bored. Many of us were surfing between shows that offered some audio, the audio stream on ustream, and twitter. I finally gave up and went shopping. PD has entered the next stage, where the participants demand more. The engagement of our ears, eyes, and hands (via backchannels) are required. Learners of all ages want nothing less. We need to consider engaging all the senses in our classrooms.

I agree with you. UStream is just amazing. I think you need to be teaching a class to future teachers!!!
