I thought this activity was fun. It was a little intimidating on what I was going to create. I hope you will enjoy what I did create. This would be a great activity for those students who are interested in creating their own books to read. This would be a great writing lesson also.

I found this site to be enjoyable to work with and create - nice and simple. I read a few of the ones others had created to get my "creative juices" flowing, and once I thought of simple books, it was pretty easy. They had a great gallery of art to choose from too. Just a note - don't put a link on the end of your book (Classroom 2.0)! I found that out after being rejected to have my book published. It scared me because I thought it was the content - but it was just that. I would think this would be fun for students to use in the classroom as a small project - I'm adding it to my Del.icio.us!

I really liked this activity! It took some time to plan what your book was going to be about but when I finally go it, I had a really good time with it. I think this would be a really fun activity to use in your classroom so that students could show their creativity! I really recommend this activity to anyone who loves childrens books.

I LOVED THIS ACTIVITY! I had so much fun reading other people's books and getting ideas for my own! The website was very easy to use and easy to navigate. This would be so much fun to use in the classroom in so many different ways. I would love using this as a "station" in upper elementary literature class! Definitely another website to bookmark and use in the future!

I had a super time creating a book on Big Universe! I can't wait to use it in the classroom. The only problem that I had was downloading/uploading clipart. This part seemed to take the longest. I wrote a book that was titled "Many Happening Months!" This book worked with the students on counting the months as well as rhyming. The book that I created is located at http://www.biguniverse.com/member/mybooks.

Creating the book was a lot of fun. The website was really cool, and would even be a great project to do with your students. Each student could create a book, or retell a story in their own way. I found the clip art on the site to be a little thin, so I wound up using most of my own photos and some from the internet. I originally had all of the pages different colors, but it looked too much like a power point to me, so I made them all the same.

I noticed I didn't put my link to biguniverse on my reply. Here it is and I hope you enjoy the adventure of Sonny.

I thought that this was a lot of fun. This would be a great way for students to understand parts of a story. It would also give them a way to read a ton of books for free. I am so excited upon seeing this. I had fun creating my book. I could not find all of the pictures that I wanted, but I made them work. I KNOW that I will be using this in the future!!

Here is my book: http://www.biguniverse.com/publisher/app/bu1216528820
